Last year I started tracking drinks (alcoholic beverages) featured in old movies; Why? Well, why not!? Check out  Movie Drinks – Part One from last year where I shared 3 drink recipes from three fun movies!

Since then (over a year ago!) I didn’t really come across many more fancy beverages…funny how you start something and then it takes a while to pop up again…But eventually over the rest of the 2015 year…find some special drinks I did! Yea! DRINKS!!!!!!!

Now, let’s have a toast with a few Drinks from the movies! CHEERS!
coyle drinkBoilermaker (Again! This is a popular one!) – FRIENDS OF EDDIE COYLE (1973)

A shot of Whiskey and a glass of beer. You drink the whiskey first and then chase it with a beer (A shot and a beer) OR you can mix the shot into the beer and drink together. Gulp!

Shyane DetectScotch & Soda – MICHAEL SHAYNE PRIVATE DETECTIVE (1940)

Keep it simple! Take a highball glass filled with ice (large cubes preferable) and pour in Scotch, then top it off with club soda!

The White Lady – THE GOV’NOR (MISTER HOBO) (1935)

Take two ounces of London dry gin, half ounce of Cointreau, half ounce of lemon juice and 1 egg white. Mix and shake ingredients in a cocktail shaker with cracked ice, then strain into a cocktail glass.

Orange Blossom – THE GOV’NOR (MISTER HOBO) (1935)

Take one and half ounces of London dry gin and one and half ounce of orange juice. Pour both into a cocktail shaker with cracked ice and shake. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and serve.

touch of larcenyPink Gin – A TOUCH OF LARCENY (1959)

Plymouth Gin and Angostura Bitters are the ingredients. Take a chilled old fashioned glass, add a few drop of the bitters, swirl it around to coat the inside of the glass and dump the bitters that’s left. Next, pour in two ounces of chilled Gin into the glass and garnish with a lemon peel (or lemon slice).

One day I will have a fancy drink party to try all these fancy beverage, but I have a feeling I’ll end the night seeing double!

Let’s all keep watching old movies and give them a toast with one of these drinks! DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE, but watch a movie and drink, it’s much safer! 😀 Yup.  Chin Chin!
